actually while they may look like rubber bands, that sidewall is actually pretty thick. the tire size shown in some of those pics is a 305/30/30. since the middle 30 represents 30% of the width (305) then it means that the sidewall height roughly equates to about 3.5-4 inches. while that sounds very small, a lot of people running 18s have smaller sidewalls. So its more of an optical illusion. In reality there is a lot of rubber on there, and I would sure hope there was at a price of $2200 each. yeah thats right $2200...
