As you know, I work at AAA in dispatch, and some of my friends are infatuated with Japanese cars. Do you know what region of vehicle I get the most calls from? JAPANESE CARS. They're horrible. When Civic's suspension gives out, the car will rock back and forth when you hit the brakes. Factory turbo-charged models get blown head gaskets in a matter of 2 years. And now, we have more "Japanivations" coming out this year.
So here we have the latest from Toyota, the FJ Cruiser:

OMG, IT'Z TEH LIEK SO ORIGINALZ DAWG

Nissan on the other hand is playing with the big boys in the pick up truck sales. What's hilarious is their marketing strategies.
For instance, they raised the horsepower in the Titan to 317, up 12 from last year, but dropped it 5 ft. pounds of torque from 390 down to 385. Why, may you ask? Just to say that the Titan has the most horsepower of any truck in it's class on the TV advertisements. That being, the 4wd, unleaded, entry level full size pickups. But this would be a lie. The Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie, compartively priced, carries a hemi producing 345 HP. And the first arguement will be "Oh, but it uses a hemi. No way a domestic could get that much horsepower out of the engine!" Alright, let's take away the DOHC on the Titan and see what's left.
Take away 4wd, and a comparatively priced Chevy Silverado SS also carries the same horsepower naturally aspirated.
I'd like to say more about the Titan as far as super-duty diesels and duallies, but THEY DON'T EXIST.
Then there's this asonine thing they call a midsize truck, the "Frontier". It used to be a midsize truck, but now?

They're marketing THIS as a midsize truck! This isn't midsize, this is an excuse to put a V6 in a fucking whale of a truck! What's better is that you either get the V6, or you get a 2.5L straight four that produces marginally better HP than a baseline FORD FOCUS, in THAT TRUCK!
This topic will be continued, as I'm too tired to think of anything else.
